This recipe was submitted in our March 2014 Oat Scoop recipe contest by Darlan Holdstock of Arborfield, SK.
1 cup margarine
2 cups brown sugar
4 cups oatmeal
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Melt margarine, add sugar and cook till bubbly. Add vanilla and then add dry ingredients.
Pour into 9 x 13 pan or small cookie sheet. Flatten with back of spoon.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Cut into squares while hot, cool, and enjoy!
