Preheat oven to 350 degrees

This recipe was drawn as the winner of the Oat Scoop recipe contest held in March of 2014. It was submitted by Debbie Grenkow of St. Norbert, MB, who calls it her family's favourite muffin recipe.

3/4 cup oil
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups plain yogurt
2 1/2 cups oatmeal
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups fruit (fresh or frozen)

Beat together oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Stir in yogurt.
Add dry ingredients and stir until just moistened.
Cut fruit if necessary and gently fold in.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
