Bacon Manchego Cheese and Maple Syrup Oatmeal


  1. ½ cup water
  2. ½ cup milk
  3. 3/4 cup rolled oats
  4. 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  5. 2 slices bacon - cooked crisp and crumbled
  6. 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  7. Salt and black pepper - to taste


Yield: 2 servings

  1. Fry the bacon and put it aside.
  2. Add the oatmeal to boiling water, reduce heat and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Add milk and cook for another 3 minutes on low heat.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Turn off the heat and add the cheese. Cover the pot and let stand for about two minutes for the cheese to melt a little.
  6. Serve the mixture on a plate, top with bacon and maple syrup.
