The AOGC 2026 AGM will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Edmonton Westin
For times and speaker information, please click here for the Agenda.
Here are the documents included in the meeting package for producers to prepare ahead of the AGM: AOGC meeting program, 2025 AOGC AGM Minutes, Financial Statements 24-25, AOGC Annual Report
Also on the agenda: the AOGC is undergoing a mandatory review of its bylaws, the Plan and Commission Regulations. For more information, and how you can become involved and/or submit your questions/comments, please go to: AOGC Governance and Regulations page.
Currently, AOGC has reviewed and is considering three potential substantive changes to the bylaws, which in turn can also effect the Plan and Commission Regulations. Please see the charts below for all proposed changes made (many for clarity or to ensure compliance). The three substantive changes are:
- changing the quorum necessary for the conduct of business at an annual general Commission meeting (AGM) or a special Commission meeting (called by either AOGC, Marketing Council, or on the written request of not less than 30% of eligible producers) – from 15 to 12 eligible producers;
- an item for explanation of provision for producers to have access to the Commission’s books and records; and,
- creating flexibility in the timing of the selection of the board executive, either before or after the AGM, depending if an election is required; and, allowing, during any year, an election by the board to fill a vacated executive position on the board (i.e., an ‘officer of the Commission’) to occur mid-year if a board-elected officer of the Commission position becomes vacant.
