Manitoba Open Farm Day is Sunday September 15, 2019

Manitoba Open Farm Day is a family-friendly annual event held at various sites across the province.

On the third Sunday in September, farms and others in the industry open up their farms and businesses to the public, giving them an opportunity to meet a farmer, see how their food is produced, and learn more about environmental stewardship and the history of farming in the province. Depending on the venue, visitors can take a tour, participate in various activities and discover or sample some of the agricultural products produced in Manitoba.

This year, there are 56 participating host sites – the largest number of sites in the event’s history! The event is free, however some sites will have products available for purchase and/or may charge for certain activities.

Visit the Open Farm Day Host Farms page to see a full listing of participating sites and their hours of operation, sorted by region. A PDF of the complete listing is also available for download. Please note: Manitoba Open Farm Day is a “rain or shine” event.

To find out how your farm can participate as a host site in next year’s event, contact the MAAS Open Farm Day Coordinator, Wendy Bulloch, at info@openfarmday.ca.
